Amazing Day

The big day of serving in St. Louis was just amazing and fun. Got to help clean a school and repaint some of the stuff there was just fun and to help that school out. I was glad to be part of this and glad that our youth group went.

Big Day in Lima, OH

This was a very well organized event. The overwhelming joy of seeing so many people touched by God's love in one day was wonderful. This was a great opportunity for our youth and adults.

A blessing

My name is Andie and The Big Day people came and did amazing work to my yard. It was truly a blessing that they came to do this for me, but it is also a blessing from God to give those people the heart and spirit to do such a generous thing for someone like me located in little ol lima ohio. God bless you all truly.

God is Good!

One youth group worked all day in St. Louis, cleaning up an empty, abandoned lot. They worked hard and when they were done, the group got back in the vans to drive away. As they looked back, they saw kids coming out of a nearby house to play ball in the new, safe year. God is good!

I like the "one day" format!

My group had a wonderful day and we were grateful to have the opportunity to serve and would like to do so again. I like the one day format. There were multiple God sightings during the day but the one that stands out was an older gentleman on Tenth Street. He was so pleased to see us cleaning up the street and came over to talk to us and share his story.

Very organized

I thought the organization was super, as always. We were happily exhausted when we were done!

Very productive day!

Our group was in charge of picking up trash on LaSalle Street. It seemed very productive and we filled so many trash bags that we lost count!

Our students worked so hard!

It was amazing seeing our students work so hard tearing out fencerows, scrub trees, and working on trash and cleaning...and then discussing how the Gospel ties into it all. When some of the students began to get it, it was beautiful.

A great intro to missions

Workcamp mission trips are only possible for us every other year because of lack of funds. This was a great way to do something and keep a little connection with the experience even though we don't get to go this year! It was also of personal significance to me as my own daughter has been too young to experience Workcamps so this was her first time doing something like this and I was so proud of her! It was a nice way for her to get a taste of what it will be like next summer when we go on the trip.

We worked so hard!

It was good to see the youth work so hard to show God's love to other people they have never met. People in the neighborhood stopped and asked us why we were doing it. Our response was because God would want us to give to you because He loves you!
